Dr. Benz is an accomplished physician with a multi-faceted career. He is the President of the medical staff at Lankenau Hospital and is responsible for working closely with the hospital administration and boards to develop and modify new and existing policies to ensure the highest quality services for patients. Dr. Benz is the Chief of Nephrology for Main Line Hospitals and is the Director of the Lankenau Nephrology Fellowship program. He promotes educational quality and peer review credentialing in addition to supervising academic performance of physicians and students. Dr. Benz is also the President of Eminent Domains, Inc., a company that acquires and develops domain names for a wide array of industries. He became involved in medicine because he wanted to help others and contribute to society in a tangible and important way. He enjoys that his profession allows him to develop as a researcher, public speaker and author. The most rewarding aspect of his work is interacting with many talented and dedicated individuals in a variety of fields.

Dr. Benz received his MD from Thomas Jefferson Medical College and his bachelor's degree from The University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Benz has published many times. His published work mainly centers on the use of Erythropoietin in the management of anemia of kidney disease, quality of life issues in kidney disease and dialysis and sleep disorders in chronic kidney disease. Dr. Benz is also a reviewer for many peer review journals and advisory boards. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and has lectured in 13 countries and over 100 cities. He was named Top Doctor five consecutive times by Philadelphia Magazine.
