Her responsibilities include overseeing the avid elective teacher, planning lessons, and teaching genetics, earth science, biology, space science, environmental science and chemistry. Prior to attaining her position at Warm Springs Middle School, Ms. Kennedy served as an assistant retail manager and a substitute teacher. Her greatest professional accomplishment is having a student in her class want to become a science teacher. She attributes her success to her determination and the support she receives from her family and mentors.

Ms. Kennedy is a certified biology and general science teacher and holds a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Slippery Rock University. Ms. Kennedy stays current with the trends in her profession by attending conferences and reading The Science Teacher, NEA Today and other industry-related publications.
