GRAND FORKS, ND, May 29, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Laura Bernice Munski, Ph.D., Executive Director of Dakota Science Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of educational facility management.

Laura Bernice Munski, Ph.D. has 18 years of professional experience, four of which have been as the executive director of the Dakota Science Center, an educational outreach organization that encourages an interest in science among children, parents, teachers, and community groups. At her post, Dr. Munski excels in science education and is responsible for composing grants, properly dispersing funds, organizing educational programs and events, and consulting with visitors and fellow professionals.

A life-long interest in science inspired Dr. Munski to become involved in her profession. She is particularly proud to have the ability to make a positive impact on her community through education. In recognition of her accomplishments she was honored with the Bronze Award for Presidential Stewardship by the National Wildlife Federation in 2006, and was selected as outstanding VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who in 2008. She earned her Ph.D. in Education in 2008, and received her Master of Science from the University of North Dakota in 1993. She is a member of the Association of North Dakota Geographers, the Gamma Theta Upsilon Honor Society and Lambda Theta Phi, Fraternidad Latina, Inc.
