Joan A. Laredo-Liddell Recognized for Excellence in Chemistry Instruction
Joan A. Laredo-Liddell has been published in Lipids

July 31, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Educator Joan A. Laredo-Liddell has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence throughout her 51 year career.

Ms. Laredo-Liddell has been published in Lipids. Joan was the 2007 Chair of the New York Section of the American Chemical Society, which received the 2007 Best Very Large Section Award by the ACS. She attributes her longevity in her field to her love for her profession and her belief in the importance of education. She finds nothing more gratifying than sparking students' interest in science and watching them succeed.

Ms. Laredo-Liddell received her Master of Arts in Chemistry and her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Physics from CUNY Hunter College. She is certified in supervision and curriculum development and is a member of the Science Teachers Association of New York State (1988-Fellow, 1990-President), the American Association of Physics Teachers, the New York Section of the American Chemical Society, the National Association of Biology Teachers, the National Science Teachers Association and Phi Delta Kappa.
