John Cory Bowzer Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
John Cory Bowzer researches viruses deadly to some species of fish

COLUMBUS, OH, August 1, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John Cory Bowzer, Research Assistant at Ohio State University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of scientific research.

As a research assistant at Ohio State University, Mr. Bowzer specializes in fishery biology. On a daily basis, he is responsible for conducting aquaculture research, studying walleyes and effects of viral hemorrhagic septicemia of fish, monitoring and cleaning tanks, taking samples from fish, checking water quality and gas chromatography on samples, and running lipid profiles. His father was a fishery biologist and he attributes his success to his dedication, his father's influence and to the support he receives from his parents.

Mr. Bowzer is pursuing his Master of Science in Environmental Studies and Aquaculture at Ohio State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Central College in 2004. A member of the American Fisheries Society, he intends to complete his Ph.D., pursue postdoctoral research and attain a position in regional management of fisheries.
