Dr. Songlin Liang Specializes in Cytopathology and Anatomic and Clinial Pathology

PORTERVILLE, CA, November 5, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Songlin Liang, Pathologist for Premier Pathology Laboratories, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in clinical research.

Dr. Liang's expertise is in cytopathology and anatomic and clinical pathology. He brings three years of experience to Premier Pathology Laboratories, a full-service anatomic and cytopathology facility that services hospitals in the Central Valley of California. In his current position, he is tasked with overseeing clinical laboratories for hospitals in rural communities. His responsibilities include conducting pathology examinations, and assisting physicians in performing autopsy and lab tests to diagnose disease. He attributes his success to perseverance, honesty and hard work.

Originally from China, Dr. Liang received his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Rochester, and his MD from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He completed his fellowship in cytopathology in 2006 at Henry Ford Hospital, a fellowship in oncologic pathology in 2005 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and his residency in 2004 at the University of Rochester. He is a Board Certified Anatomic Pathologist, and a Clinical Pathologist. His professional affiliations include the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathology. In five years, Dr. Liang hopes to increase his involvement in projects that help underserved populations.
