Teresa L. Gurries takes a comprehensive approach to education
SAN JOSE, CA, November 2, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Teresa L. Gurries, Science Teacher and Level Coordinator for Saint Frances Cabrini Catholic School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
The keys to success in an academic environment are faith, community and balance, said Teresa L. Gurries when Cambridge Publishing caught up with her in a September interview. A firm believer in promoting a comprehensive education that not only encourages academic excellence, but also community and service, Ms. Gurries lends over 22 years of teaching expertise to Saint Frances Cabrini Catholic School. She now enters her 13th year as a science teacher and level coordinator at the school, responsible for rendering science instruction, developing curricula, choosing classroom material and coordinating programs for the sixth, seventh and eighth grades.
Ms. Gurries is a recognized authority in the areas of science and religion. She holds a bachelor of arts in liberal studies from San Jose University and has received multiple subject teaching credentials from said institution. Attributing her success in education to her caring nature and positive approach, Ms. Gurries will continue her education in science and religion as she moves forward in her career.
