David Laitinen manages epidemiologic research for Abbott Laboratories

David Laitinen, a specialist in epidemiologic research and statistics, lends over 16 years of industry experience to Abbott Laboratories where he serves as Assistant Director. At his post, he is primarily responsible for managing epidemiologic research conducted in the internal laboratory. He notes that he became interested in research and the sciences following a career in the field of education. Mr. Laitinen considers his uncanny ability to focus on complex projects to be the driving forces behind his success.

Mr. Laitinen holds a master of public health in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, and a bachelor's degree in health education from Northern Michigan University. He is professionally affiliated with the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research and the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology.
