BestDebates.com launches website that integrates logic algorithms and crowd sourcing to create an engine for vetted knowledge.
Innovative website integrates crowd sourcing with advanced argumentation to create Internet engine for vetted knowledge engine.

FAIRFAX, CA, October 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- BestDebates.com, a new website launched today, integrates social media and advanced argumentation principles to generate what it calls "the definitive conversation for progress" on the Internet.

"We built a system where the best arguments in a debate rise to the top," said Mark Lewis, co-founder of the BestDebates.com site. "We reward good arguments for being good, and punish bad arguments for being bad, and in the process, create quality conversations about ideas that matter."

Using a proprietary rating system that leverages the wisdom of crowds, the Best Debates site gives each person's argument a score. The higher the score, the more prominence the argument gains in the debate. Using a proprietary rating system, it leverages the the best insights, information, and intelligence of each participant by using the wisdom of crowds.

"We want to reward the unforced force of the better argument," Lewis continued, "not the sound-byte mentality of the main stream media pundits. People who really care about real-world issues need to get beyond the partisan echo chambers to real understanding. This has never been more important than it is right now."

The topic of the first debate contest on BestDebates.com is "Vote No on Proposition 19, the California tax and regulate Marijuana bill." It begins October 1, 2010 and runs through the month of October. They will be announcing the winner of the debate on October 30, just before the November 2nd election.
