Dr. Vernon Johnson Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Dr. Vernon Johnson celebrates a 40-year environmental career in the nuclear industry
RICHLAND, WA, October 6, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Vernon Johnson, a retired Hanford scientist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in hydrology and environmental science.
Prior to his retirement as an environmental scientist for Battelle and Fluor Corporation, he was responsible for managing groundwater cleanup and assessment projects. Dr. Johnson is currently a part-time consultant with Johnson and Associates. He attributes his success to hard work and perseverance.
Dr. Johnson received a Ph.D. in oceanography from Oregon State University in 1979. In addition to his formal education, he is a licensed hydrogeologist (Lic. # 1580) in the State of Washington. He maintains his affiliation with the American Chemical Society, and he is a past member of the American Nuclear Society and the Health Physics Society. His favorite hobbies are kayaking, photographing wildlife and bird watching. He also volunteers for community projects.
