Steve Phelps' passion for nature and energy led him to become an exploration manager with Shell

HOUSTON, TX, November 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Steve Phelps, Exploration Manager of Shell, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in the oil, gas and energy industry. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership

As an exploration manager of Shell, Mr. Phelps is responsible for delivering exploration programs in Alaska, exploring drill sites, and executive business leadership. He became involved in his profession after gaining experience as a geophysicist and being interested in how the Earth works.

Mr. Phelps received a Bachelor of Science in applied geophysics. He is a member of the AAPG and Chatham House.
