GONZALES, TX, May 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Ronnie S. Pasadilla, Microbiologist for Gonzales Healthcare Systems, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in laboratory science.

Best noted for his expertise in bacteriology, Ronnie S. Pasadilla played an integral role in establishing the microbiology department at Gonzales Healthcare Systems. He now heads the unit and brings to it 14 years of professional experience. In charge of all operations, he is responsible for supervising a staff of five and ensuring the implementation of policies and procedures. In addition to his work for Gonzales Healthcare Systems, Mr. Pasadilla lends his talents to St. David's Medical Center. He considers setting up the microbiology department to be one of his proudest accomplishments, and attributes his success to his diligence and commitment to keeping abreast of developments in his field.

Mr. Pasadilla is a Registered Microbiologist with the National Registry of Certified Microbiologists and holds a certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology. A native of the Philippines, he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology in 1995 from Far Eastern University and is a Registered Microbiologist with the Philippine Academy of Microbiology. His professional affiliations include the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the American Society for Microbiology, American Medical Technologists, and the Philippine Society for Microbiology. In five years, Mr. Pasadilla aspires to become the head of a larger department at Gonzales Healthcare Systems.

Gonzales Healthcare Systems is made up of a number of entities, at the core of which is Memorial Hospital, a general acute care facility. Built in 1978, the current facility follows a tradition of community service begun by the Holmes Hospital, which opened in 1921.
