Dr. Wilberto Nieves-Neira's expertise is in cancer research

SOMERSET, NJ, August 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Wilberto Nieves-Neira, Assistant Professor for The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

Dr. Nieves-Neira has seven years of overall professional experience. As an assistant professor at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, he manages patient care, performs surgeries and treatments, conducts lectures, and teaches residents and medical students. He became involved in his profession because of his passion to find a cure for cancer.

In 1991, Dr. Nieves-Neira earned his MD from the University of Puerto Rico. He is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Association for Cancer Research. For six consecutive years, he has received the Excellence in Teaching Award at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
