Dirk Laeveren Named VIP of the Year for Excellence in Medical Imaging
Mr. Laeveren moved from Europe to take on responsibility for the U.S. division of SkyScan, a research technology company

SAN JOSE, CA, October 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dirk Laeveren, Chief Executive Officer of SkyScan U.S., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in medical imaging.

Mr. Laeveren previously managed operations for the European divison of SkyScan, a research technology company that is a leader in providing microtomography, nanotomography, and noninvasive 3-D microscopy. Bringing with him 25 years of experience, exuberant motivation, and expertise in imaging, he came into his position as chief executive officer of the company's U.S. branch two years ago.

Mr. Laeveren obtained a master's degree in applied engineering in 1984 in Belgium and a bachelor's degree in marketing in 1995, also in Belgium. As a member of the European Society of Engineers, his passion for his field is evident. He is also the proud father of three children.
