EAST PROVIDENCE, RI, May 25, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda M. Cannistra, Chief Executive Officer of Safe Harbor Clinical Research, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health care administration.

Coming from a family of physicians, Ms. Cannistra originally planned to attend medical school. However, after having her own family, she decided to pursue a position in the business side of the health care industry that allowed her to maintain a schedule unlike the hectic one her father had. Today, she has 22 years of professional experience and expertise in operations management. As the CEO of Safe Harbor Clinical Research, Ms. Cannistra supervises the research staff, acquires contracts from pharmaceutical companies, manages finances and enrolls patients. She also recruits employees and actively works to expand her business. Her success can be attributed to her goal-oriented nature and drive.

Ms. Cannistra earned an MBA in management from Bryant University. She also holds bachelor's degrees in biology and chemistry, both from Providence College. A certified clinical research coordinator, she is a member of the American Management Association and Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Ms. Cannistra also serves as a board chair of Thundermist Health Center.
