SPRINGFIELD, IL, July 1, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Philip S. Salisbury, President of Economic & Population Trends, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of economic research.

With eight years as the president of Economic & Population Trends, Mr. Salisbury specializes in economics and demography. On a daily basis, he is responsible for developing questions and programs, compiling data, researching and applying research to current issues. He has been conducting research for approximately 25 years and has published articles including "The Current Economic Crisis and the Great Depression, which has been submitted for the Pinnacle Award, "The Economics of a Depression: 2007 and Beyond," "Economic Crises: Causes and Policy Options" and "Aggregate Supply, Aggregate Demand, and Stress Theory." Mr. Salisbury gained experience working in research and developed medical programs for welfare recipients, and has spent six years on economic expansion and contractions.

Mr. Salisbury received his Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University in 1969 and is a member of the Population Association of America and the National Association for Business Economics. He hopes to continue his research, which he hopes will lead to public and private appearances.
