Dr. Amlung is an experienced clinical researcher with more than three decades of professional experience. For the past two years, she has served as the director of clinical research at Hill-Rom Services, Inc., a leading health care solutions provider and medical supplier. Dr. Amlung is responsible for overseeing a team of clinical research managers who direct various projects worldwide. She communicates with investigators, follows up with research sites, coordinates with the regulatory team, and works with engineers on research and development. Her success can be attributed to her positive attitude and perseverance.

In 1996, Ms. Amlung earned a Ph.D. in nursing research and statistics from the University of Cincinnati. She became involved in her profession through her interest in the different technologies being created in the nursing and health care field. Her affiliations include the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and Sigma Theta Tau International. In the years to come, Dr. Amlung plans to become an independent clinical research consultant and offer workshops and training.
