Stephen Carrillo received designation as a registered pulmonary function technologist in 2010
ALBANY, CA, August 8, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stephen J. Carrillo, Lead Technician of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.
Mr. Carrillo's childhood experience with asthma served as an inspiration for his successful career. As a respiratory therapist with three decades of experience, he is the lead technician in the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center's pulmonary function laboratory. In this role, he oversees all clinical work, ensures the credentials of his laboratory, and updates protocol and equipment. Mr. Carrillo, who is in the process of acquiring a separate license for an additional laboratory, plans to introduce more therapy techniques to his work.
A respiratory care practitioner, Mr. Carrillo was certified by California Pacific College in 1980. He received designation as a registered pulmonary function technologist in 2010. His professional affiliations include the California Society for Respiratory Care, National Board for Respiratory Care, and American Association of Respiratory Care. Mr. Carrillo has taught BLS/CPR in the past and performed inservices on ventilator management and pulmonary function. Hr enjoys playing the guitar in his spare time.
